Craig Hospital Awards & Recognition

Craig Hospital is both a Spinal Cord Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury Model System Center as designated by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). Since 2009, Craig has been a multi-year recipient of the NDNQI® Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality. Craig has also been granted recognition as a Magnet-designated organization five consecutive times (2005, 2010, 2015, 2020) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Craig has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission. Craig Hospital has been voted by employees as a Top Workplace in Colorado by The Denver Post (2012-2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024, 2025) and a Top Workplace USA by Energage (2021-2025). Craig has been ranked among the top rehabilitation hospitals in the nation for 36 consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report since the rankings began in 1990.

Our Location

Craig Hospital is located in Englewood, Colorado, a southern suburb in the Denver metropolitan area. Our location in sunny Colorado allows patients the opportunity to rehabilitate outdoors, whether it’s on campus, in the vibrant city of Denver or nearby in the Rocky Mountains.

Craig’s Center for Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury Research pursues cutting-edge neuroscience research on restorative therapies for central nervous system injuries. At any given time, multiple research trials are underway.

Craig Hospital is licensed as a General Hospital by the State of Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment. We are classified as a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC) by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Craig Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission – latest survey June 2023.
