works with patients in Craig Hospital’s Therapeutic Recreation Program, helping them recover from traumatic injuries. In the professional wrestling world, he’s known as the tough competitor “Hoodlum.”

In a 9News profile last fall, Hood compared his two personas to Bruce Wayne and Batman. On Feb. 21, Hood’s Wayne and Batman will come together when he wrestles in the NRW Sports Entertainment event “Never Broken” to benefit Craig Hospital’s Therapeutic Recreation Program.

This will be the first time Hood has had the opportunity to wrestle for Craig Hospital patients and staff members.

“My two worlds coming together is something I’ve had to get used to. I have always made an effort to try to keep my Craig life and wrestling life separate because I wasn’t sure what people would think. I’m a totally different person when I am in the ring, and it will be fun to show the people I work with that side of me. I am truly inspired by the people I meet and work with every day. Their resiliency and determination motivates me to keep pursuing this dream no matter how impossible it seems,” Hood says.

The event will feature Jessy Sorensen, a professional wrestler who has fully recovered from a 2012 spinal cord injury. Also on the docket are the reigning NRW championDanger Dean, Yaden Matthews, Duff Doyle, Trajan Ender and Jesse Williams.
