Annamarie Engelhard, MT-BC, NMT
Annamarie Engelhard, MT-BC, NMT, is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Neurologic Music Therapist. She received her education at Colorado State University under the tutelage of Dr. Michael Thaut and Dr. Blythe LaGasse. In 2018 Annamarie developed the in-house music therapy program at Craig Hospital and has continued serving Craig patients and families. Her treatment philosophy prioritizes whole-person care through combination of research and evidenced-informed practice with intuition and compassion. While her familial ties to Father of American Folk Music, Woody Guthrie, shaped her love of music, her decision to pursue music therapy came from the profession’s perfect intertwinement of her three passions: science, medicine, and the arts. In her free time, Annamarie enjoys taking her family into the great outdoors, collecting plants, and thinking up new ideas.
