Join us for the annual 5280 Challenge, a two-day track and field competition for USATF Masters and individuals with physical or visual disabilities. It will be held at Cherry Creek High School’s Stutler Bowl Stadium. 5280 Challenge is open to all athletes age 6 to adult with a disability to include, but not limited to: amputation, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, muscular dystrophy, osteogenesis imperfecta, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, or visual impairment. Athletes may be ambulatory or use a manual or power wheelchair. Athletes will compete in track and field and have the opportunity for regional classification. The 5280 Challenge is sanctioned by USA Track and Field and Wheelchair and Ambulatory Sports USA (WASUSA). This meet can qualify individual athletes for national competition including National Jr. Disability Sports Championships, The National Veteran Wheelchair Games and the U.S. Paralympic Track and Field National Championships if qualifying standards in their respective events are met.
