Discover Sea Wolf: A Craig Hospital Adventure Program 9/27/22 - 10/6/22

Event Information

San Juan Islands (Off the coast of Washington)

This year’s trip will start and end in Bellingham, Washington, and go through the San Juan Islands. We will board the Sea Wolf in Bellingham on September 27, have 8 days of cruising and adventuring, and dock in Bellingham again on October 6. The boat cruises for a few hours each day leaving us plenty of time to do activities and adventuring.

The Sea Wolf is a grand old wooden boat—former military mine sweeper--just 97 feet long, with a total capacity of 18 people: 6 crew, 5 Craig grads with their +1’s, and 2 Craig Recreational Therapists. Of the 5 cabins for grads, 3 are capable of accommodating manual wheelchairs; the other 2 cabins are not wheelchair accessible. The cabins are cozy (a nice way of saying small!) with bunk beds but we will be busy kayaking, hiking, sightseeing, socializing, learning about the flora and fauna of the area, and dining on delicious food so time in the cabins is minimal.

The owner of the Sea Wolf has graciously reduced the price of the trip as much as she could and the cost is all-inclusive, except for air fare. This year’s trip will be $3800 per person which includes an initial non-refundable deposit of $300 to reserve your spot. In year’s past we have had some generous donations which have allowed us to significantly reduce the price for this trip, and are hoping that we will be able to offer that again this year. Scholarships may also be available.

With only 5 cabins total and only 3 of those appropriate for manual wheelchair users, cabins are filling fast! If you are interested in attending, please complete the interest form as space is limited.

We are excited to have you join us on this incredible, unforgettable adventure! Please let us know if you have any questions.
