COVID-19: How you can help Craig patients and families
As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread across the world, we understand that there are many concerns in our community. Our priority remains the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff. We are doing everything we can to minimize the spread of COVID-19. As we do our part as First Responders to this health crisis, please be assured that we will continue to provide the highest level of care for which we are known. For the most up-to-date information from Craig, please visit our COVID-19 website or call our emergency hotline at 303-789-8888.
We are working with our Hospital staff daily to identify needs and deploy resources to assist our patients and families during this time of uncertainly. In addition to our regular areas of need, we have identified a few specific needs that you can help meet by donating to the Patient Assistance Fund:
- Family caregiver relief
Caregiving is often time-consuming and physically and emotionally taxing. Donations could support family caregiver needs during this COVID-19 crisis. Support could include travel vouchers for return to home, respite care once home, mental health support, or other financial needs.
- Electronic devices
Donations could provide iPads to patients to help them connect with family, friends, and healthcare providers and support other technology-related needs.
- Food assistance
As we all know, most of Craig’s patients are facing an unexpected loss of income and over half leave their home communities to come to Colorado. During this crisis, your donation could provide food assistance to the families of inpatients, Craig outpatients and grads and their families. Using money donated to the Patient Assistance Fund, we are distributing grocery gift cards to families in need.
