COVID-19: How You Can Help Craig

As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to spread across the world, we understand that there are many concerns in our community. Our priority remains the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff. We are doing everything we can to minimize the spread of COVID-19. As we do our part as First Responders to this health crisis, please be assured that we will continue to provide the highest level of care for which we are known. How You Can Help

Donate to support our patients, families and staff
We are working with our Hospital staff daily to identify needs and deploy resources to assist our patients and families during this time of uncertainly. We are so grateful for your generous support that allows us to respond quickly to meet urgent needs. In addition to our regular areas of need, we have identified a few specific needs that you can help meet:

  • Family caregiver relief
Caregiving is often time-consuming and physically and emotionally taxing. This special fund will support family caregiver needs during this COVID-19 crisis. Support could include travel vouchers for return to home, respite care once home, mental health support, or other financial needs. To donate, click here and select "Family Caregiver Relief " from the drop-down menu.
  • Food assistance
As we all know, most of Craig’s patients are facing an unexpected loss of income and over half leave their home communities to come to Colorado. During this crisis, you can provide food assistance to Craig inpatients, outpatients, grads and their families. Using money donated to COVID Food Assistance Fund, we are distributing grocery gift cards to families in need. We have also partnered with two Denver-area companies, Epicurean Catering, and Grow + Gather, to ensure patients and their families have a healthy, nourishing meal so they can focus on their recovery and health during these unsettling times. To donate, click here and select "Food Assistance" from the drop-down menu.
  • Front line staff emergency relief
Our dedicated staff need the support and resources to stay healthy while navigating daily patient care with the added challenges of the coronavirus outbreak. To address the unique hardships faced by our healthcare team as a result of COVID-19, we have established a fund to support immediate caregiver needs related to the pandemic including personal protective equipment, physical and mental health resiliency, childcare subsidies and other critical needs. To donate, click here and select "Front Line Staff Emergency Relief" from the drop-down menu.
  • Nurse Advice Line
The five registered nurses from Craig’s Nurse Advice line field calls from patients, families, physicians and caregivers from every state. Nurses are on stand-by to answer non-emergency calls about COVID-19 and healthcare issues surrounding spinal cord and brain injury. This complimentary service is made possible through donations. To donate, click here and select "Nurse Advice Line" from the drop-down menu.

Donate or sew masks
As cases of COVID-19 continue to increase, there is a critical worldwide shortage of face masks. We are experiencing this short supply at Craig, so we would greatly appreciate mask donations! Learn more.
