Equipment for Independence

Following their spinal cord and brain injuries, Craig patients may need a variety of equipment including assistive technology and durable medical equipment. In many cases, the cost of this equipment exceeds a patient’s insurance coverage and what they are able to afford. With the generosity of donors, the Craig Foundation assists patients in their equipment needs, maximizing their potential for independence, and enhanced life-quality.

Examples of durable medical equipment are wheelchairs (ranging from manual to power wheelchairs), lifts, and bathroom accessibility equipment. Examples of assistive technology include voice to text software, Livescribe kits, smart speakers, and smart home features.
