Turning Science into Recovery

The Human Movement Lab will be a “living laboratory,” designed to quantify and assess improvements in neurophysiology, strength, balance, gait, and other key outcomes. In this sophisticated facility, we will objectively address the clinical questions that matter most to people affected by neurologic injuries, driving innovations that directly impact their care and recovery.

We envision Craig Hospital’s Human Movement Lab as a dynamic center where we will:

Why It Matters?

Construction of our Human Movement Lab is an urgent priority. While Craig is already a lead enroller on numerous studies across the country, limitations in the types of research equipment we have been able to obtain – and the space to house such equipment, which can be quite large – have been preventing us from living up to our powerful scientific potential. Today, we are making groundbreaking discoveries in nooks and crannies spread around our campus. Imagine how much more we will achieve, how much more we will improve lives, once we build the facilities to match our innovative spirit and scientific expertise, right in the heart of the Hospital.

Make an Impact

We invite you to partner with us to transform research at Craig Hospital to build and outfit our flagship Human Movement Lab, and to sustain and grow our exceptional research staff.

Together, we can create a future where breakthroughs in science translate directly into lives changed.
