Englewood, Colo. - (May 15, 2020) - Craig Hospital, a world-renowned neurorehabilitation and research hospital for people who have sustained spinal cord and/or brain injuries, announced today that California-based hospital relations managers Stacy Andreasen and Diana Berry have joined its team to strengthen hospital and provider relationships in the state and facilitate crucial connection to specialized care for people in need of neurorehabilitation.
Approximately half of Craig’s inpatients come from out of state, and in the past year, nearly 14% of Craig’s out-of-state inpatients came from California. As the state’s closest BI and SCI neurorehabilitation specialty hospital, Craig is committed to facilitating the critical, specialized care of people who have sustained spinal cord and brain injuries in California and surrounding states to help them achieve the best outcomes possible, working toward their independence, life quality and return to community.
Diana Berry joins Craig after more than 20 years in the spinal cord and brain injury field. For the first half of her career, she worked as a northern California regional manager for a home and community program and most recently worked with a post-acute program based in northern California for the past 10 years. Her passion for healthcare work is fueled by the opportunity to connect people and their families to the most appropriate programs to start their recovery. She has served as a board member on several nonprofits and advocacy groups in the area, including United Way, Easter Seals, Because I Can, B.R.A.I.N. and the Brain Injury Coalition.
Stacy Andreasen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals with spinal cord and brain injuries. Stacy has worked with patients at all levels of care, from the ICU through the transition to home. She has vast knowledge in California workers’ compensation laws and regulations and extensive experience partnering with patients, families, claims administrators, case managers, medical providers and attorneys. Prior to joining Craig, Stacy managed catastrophic injuries for one of the largest workers’ compensation insurance carriers in California and worked for a post-acute medical provider.
