Englewood, CO—Craig Hospital has partnered with The Wildlife Experience at CU South Denver to offer free museum admission on Saturday, August 29, 2015, as part of the opening of the Redefining Possible photography exhibition.

The exhibition will be on display from August 29, 2015 to December 31, 2015.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has issued a proclamation to declare August 29, 2015 as Redefining Possible Day. The objective of Redefining Possible Day is to encourage people to redefine the way they look at people who are living with a spinal cord injury, brain injury or disabilities. Don Mares, Executive Director of Denver Human Services will present the proclamation at the opening of the exhibit, August 29, at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to come and celebrate Redefining Possible Day at The Wildlife Experience at CU South Denver and enjoy free museum entry and attend the free public opening starting at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 29.
The innovative portrait series features twelve people who have made remarkable strides after a catastrophic injury or illness. Craig Hospital and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Barry Gutierrez created the Redefining Possible portrait series to showcase the power of the human spirit.
Barry Gutierrez is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and commercial photographer based in Denver, Colorado. His photography ranges from photojournalism to portraiture. He has done portraits of a number of presidents, including Barack Obama.
The opening of the exhibition coincides with the opening of a new exhibition space at The Wildlife Experience at CU South Denver. In 2015, the University of Colorado received its largest real estate donation in the institution’s history—the donation of The Wildlife Experience facility. In August 2015, the university will complete renovations to the southwestern wing of the building, which houses a gallery, gift shop, concession stand and theatre. CU South Denver continues to offer community events, including the Redefining Possible exhibit, while also offering higher education courses.
