Introduction to Spinal Cord Injury

A spinal cord injury is damage to any part of your spinal cord or surrounding nerves which may lead to loss of strength, sensation and other body functions below the site of injury. This video provides an introduction of the spinal cord and its functions, the different types of spinal cord injuries, the effects they may have and how it may apply to you. Knowing some of the terms used and what they mean will help you have a better understanding of your specific injury.
