Nurses at Craig have the experience to help identify potential complications before they become serious health issues. In addition to answering health-related questions, callers can obtain educational resources unique for healthy living with this injury.
A donor-supported service of the Outpatient Nursing Department, this award-winning program was launched in 2008 to provide a dedicated nurse to answer non-emergent calls Monday-Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Support of the Nurse Advice Line is provided in part by grants and individual donations, but the Craig Foundation is actively seeking continuing support for the program
Percentage of callers who are people living with SCI
Percentage of callers residing outside of Colorado
Percentage of callers who completed initial therapy at a facility other than Craig
There is absolutely no better resource for getting the help and guidance we need. We would have been lost over the past six years without them. We truly have come to rely on this service as a veritable life line.
