Klarissa Garcia, Psy.D.

Rehabilitation Psychologist

Dr. Klarissa Garcia was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She offers both English and Spanish services to patients with brain and spinal cord injuries and their loved ones, including neuropsychological evaluations and psychotherapy. She collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of health care providers to support patients cognitive and emotional well-being as they navigate the rehabilitation process. Dr. Garcia obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology with a specialty in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Latino Psychology. Her pre-doctoral internship training was conducted at Rusk Rehabilitation, NYU Langone Health. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship training at Craig Hospital as well as at Elevated Insights, a private practice specializing in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder. Outside the office, Dr. Garcia enjoys traveling, going to concerts and biking.
